II. e] Staying up to date
Most of the tools that you will discover here are under intense active development and get frequent updates from their authors, to fix bugs or implement new features.
It's recommended to check regularly if a new version of those tools is available, and install it!
These frameworks can be re-installed at any time from the official website or by executing devkitProUpdater.exe if you're on Windows (it's placed in the installation folder of devkitPro).
If you want to update ctrulib with a version that is not included in devkitPro yet, you can download (or clone) the whole project on your desktop, build it (open a command prompt in the ctrulib folder and execute make), and place libctru/lib/ctrulib.a in the libctru/lib folder, inside your devkitPro install folder.
Just download (or clone) the aemstro project and place its content in "msys", inside your devkitPro install folder.
The homebrew launcher can also be updated:
download (or clone) the whole project on your desktop, build it (open a command prompt in the ctrulib folder and execute make), and place boot.3dsx at the root of your micro/SD card. You can do this operation with a card reader and with the New 3DS sync function, but you can also upload it with ftPONY. Once you quit ftPONY, you'll land directly on the new version of hbmenu!
