Today the pattern makes assumptions that a certain class of vms are available in azure

1. Is that the correct list - if not broaden and correct.
2. Cross link to region availability in azure or Red Hat documentation.

I found this very helpful:

if you type "Virtual Machines" in the search box
you'll get a list of classes and where they are GA/preview

specifically then searching the page for "DCasv5" (which is afaik is the amd with SEP-SNV)

This looks addressed now — README.md has a dedicated "Confidential computing virtual machine availability on Microsoft Azure" section (around line 162) that covers both asks from this issue:

1. Regional availability: links to Microsoft's products available by region page and explains that confidential VM families aren't available in all regions.
2. Subscription quota: explains that even supported regions may have zero default quota for the DCas/DCads/ECas/ECads families, with instructions to check/request quota in the Azure Portal.
3. VM size selection: documents the default (Standard_DC2as_v5), lists the relevant VM families with TEE type/notes, and points to global.coco.azure.VMFlavours / global.coco.azure.defaultVMFlavour in values-global.yaml for configuring the list.
