Welcome to the docker-hadoop wiki! Everything required to setup Hadoop in Docker is explained in this wiki.

Why this image

This image contains all tools necessary for Big Data
It is easier to just create a container instead of a new VM if you mess the installation up
Lightweight (just 7 GB)
Fast and simple to setup and use
