It is pretty rough, but I think it might be useful to someone else as well.
It seems to work fine for me, even together with enums and domains. With the quirk that, since there is no state provided to the FromSql trait, there is no way to verify OIDs. This means it can cast text to an enum as long as the text’s value is a valid variant or a castable type to the domain type.
It also seems to work just fine with postgres_array, allowing queries on nested hierarchical data.
