Glossary

Timeslot - timespan in which block is expected to be received

Validator - Node and its public key which should sign block at a specific timeslot

Signer - the same as validator

Ancestor - block to which another block is linked to

Duration - round or epoch length in blocks

Orphan - block without known ancestor

Skip - timeslot without blocks

Conflict - second block of the same signer in the same epoch

Verification - process of verifying transactions or blocks for data correctness

Gossip - special transaction sent by validators to confirm block or skip
