Gradle: Upgrade Jackson to version 2.10.0

See https://github.com/FasterXML/jackson/wiki/Jackson-Release-2.10. This version changed the return value of readTree() for an empty string: Where previously null was returned, now MissingNode is return. Rewrite a check so that it would work for both behaviors.
