A simple Chrome browser extension for quick proxy management and switching.
- HTTP proxy server configuration support
- Quick proxy enable/disable toggle
- Save proxy settings
- Clean user interface
- Open Chrome browser and navigate to extensions page (chrome://extensions/)
- Enable "Developer mode" in the top right corner
- Click "Load unpacked extension"
- Select the extension folder
- After installation, Chrome will show a notification "New extension added"
- If you see a "Developer Mode Extensions Warning", this is normal, click "Keep changes"
- Find the Browser Proxy Manager icon in the top right toolbar
- If you don't see the icon, click the "Extensions" icon (puzzle piece shape)
- Find Browser Proxy Manager and click the pin icon to fix it to the toolbar
- When you see the proxy manager icon in the toolbar, the extension is successfully enabled
- Click the extension icon in the browser toolbar
- Enter proxy server address and port in the popup window
- Use the toggle switch to enable/disable proxy
- Click the save button to apply settings
- Make sure the proxy server address and port number are correct
- Proxy settings are automatically saved in browser local storage
- Grey icon indicates proxy is disabled; green icon indicates proxy is enabled
- After first installation, refresh opened web pages to make proxy settings take effect
