Food Cycle

Using our application, the user can take a picture of his meal and accurately log the nutritional information of the food automatically. Food Cycle also implements an Alexa skill to relay the nutrition log recorded by the application and vocalize it to the user.

Uses Food101 coreml, Nutritionix API, Firebase, nodejs, Alexa Developer Console, golang proxy server.

• Photo is recognized through image processing with coreml.
• Using natural language processing to find nutritional statistics.
• Saves food data in Firebase.

• App queries food data within a time period for trends.

• User can ask Alexa for their food consumption statistics.
• User can ask Alexa if they are fat (responds with caloric intake).
