This application shows a Qt5-based, full-screen clock that can be
closed with one of the keys Ctrl-c, Ctrl-q or escape. You need a
Qt5 installation to build an run it.

$ git clone https://github.com/drehscheibe/kss_clock.git
$ cd kss_clock/
$ qmake
$ make -j$(nproc)
$ ./kss_clock

kss stands for KDE screensaver, because this clock started out as
such. The application was called kclock.kss back then.
