Bumps typing-extensions from 4.15.0 to 4.16.0.

Release notes

4.16.0

No changes since 4.16.0rc2.

Changes since 4.15.0:

  • Make typing_extensions.TypeAliasType's __module__ attribute writable. Backport of CPython PR #149172.
  • Fix setting of __required_keys__ and __optional_keys__ when inheriting keys with the same name.
  • Add support for AsyncIterator, io.Reader, io.Writer and os.PathLike protocols as bases for other protocols.
  • Fix incorrect behaviour on Python 3.9 and Python 3.10 that meant that calling isinstance with typing_extensions.Concatenate[...] or typing_extensions.Unpack[...] as the first argument could have a different result in some situations depending on whether or not a profiling function had been set using sys.setprofile. This affected both CPython and PyPy implementations. Patch by Brian Schubert.
  • Fix __init_subclass__() behavior in the presence of multiple inheritance involving an @deprecated-decorated base class. Backport of CPython PR #138210 by Brian Schubert.
  • Raise TypeError when attempting to subclass typing_extensions.ParamSpec on Python 3.9. The typing implementation has always raised an error, and the typing_extensions implementation has raised an error on Python 3.10+ since typing_extensions v4.6.0. Patch by Brian Schubert.
  • Add the bound, covariant, contravariant, and infer_variance parameters to TypeVarTuple.
  • Officially support the bound, covariant, contravariant and infer_variance parameters to ParamSpec. Improve the validation of these parameters at runtime.
  • Rename typing_extensions.Sentinel to typing_extensions.sentinel, following the name that has been adopted for builtins.sentinel on Python 3.15. typing_extensions.Sentinel is retained as a soft-deprecated alias for backwards compatibility.
  • Add support for pickling sentinels.
  • Sentinels now preserve their identity when copied or deep-copied.
  • Deprecate passing name as a keyword argument or repr as a positional argument to the sentinel constructor.
  • The default repr of a sentinel X = sentinel("X") is now X rather than <X>.
  • Deprecate arbitrary attribute assignments to sentinels.
  • Deprecate subclassing sentinels.
  • Add support for Python 3.15.
  • Avoid a DeprecationWarning when deprecated is applied to a coroutine function on Python 3.14.0.

4.16.0rc2

Changes since 4.16.0rc1:

  • Avoid a DeprecationWarning when deprecated is applied to a coroutine function on Python 3.14.0.

Not taking this one. A typing_extensions>=4.16 floor would force an upgrade of a core package on every supported runtime (Databricks Runtime 17.3, 18 and 19, and Serverless environments 5 and 6 each preinstall 4.12.2 or 4.15.0), and Serverless holds that package at its preinstalled version, so the install would conflict there. GeoBrix needs nothing from 4.16, so the floor stays at >=4.12.

Applies the vetted Dependabot Maven bumps on the dev line, where the
keysmap can be updated in the same change (the PRs target main and fail
the PGP gate there).

- #139 com.uber:h3 3.7.0 -> 3.7.3. Databricks Runtime 17.3, 18 and 19
  all ship h3 3.7.3, so the "until Photon updates" condition in the pom
  is met. Same group signing key, so no keysmap entry; the stale 3.7.0
  noSig lines go.
- #133 maven-clean-plugin 3.5.0 and #136 maven-deploy-plugin 3.2.0:
  build-only; add their jar/pom lines under the Apache Maven signer
  already trusted for install/deploy 3.1.4.
- #137 proj4j 1.4.3: not applied. Nothing in GeoBrix uses proj4j or
  proj4j-epsg, yet they put 162 classes and EPSG data in the fat JAR.
  Both dependencies and their keysmap entries are removed instead.
- #134 maven-site-plugin stays at 3.12.1 (nothing runs mvn site; the new
  closure needs five unreviewed signing keys).
- Dependabot pip updates now use increase-if-necessary, so a PR raises
  a floor only when the constraint would otherwise stop resolving
  (stops floor-only PRs like #141 and #142 that force runtime moves).

Verified: the strict PGP verify build passes; the rebuilt fat JAR has no
proj4j classes and bundles h3 3.7.3 with its darwin-arm64 native; the
JAR packaging check passes; scalastyle and the gridx and H3 rasterize
Scala suites pass.

Applies the vetted Dependabot Python bumps on the dev line. The PRs edit
pyproject.toml and the lock .in files but never regenerate the
hash-pinned .txt locks, so their green CI still ran the old versions;
here the env5 and env6 CI locks are recompiled and the tests run against
them.

- #138 numexpr floor >=2.14.1 (the 2.13.1+ NaN and boolean semantics);
  CI pins 2.11.0 -> 2.14.2, what users already get. Not preinstalled on
  any supported runtime, so nothing moves.
- #135 tippecanoe floor >=2.72.0, CI pin 2.45.0 -> 2.72.0. Not
  preinstalled anywhere; manylinux wheels exist for x86_64 and aarch64.
- #140 overturemaps floor >=1.0.2 to fence out 1.0.0 and 1.0.1, which
  predate the absolute STAC href fix on the --stac path. The extra's
  comments now say click>=8.3.0 and tqdm>=4.67.3 (the old text said
  click>=8.4 and never mentioned the tqdm move on DBR 18/19, env 5/6).
- The two -all locks already resolved numexpr 2.14.2 and tippecanoe
  2.72.0 and are unchanged on recompile.
- #141 imageio and #142 typing_extensions floors are not applied: they
  would force runtime package moves for no gain.

Correction to the comment above. We measured that Serverless environment 5 does not hold typing_extensions at its preinstalled version. A job-environment install and a notebook %pip install both upgraded it from 4.12.2 to 4.16.0, and pip check was clean. Environment 6 was not tested.

GeoBrix does need a higher floor than >=4.12, but not 4.16. rio-tiler 9.x uses PEP 728 TypedDict(extra_items=...), which first works in typing_extensions 4.13.0. The lightweight extras now require typing_extensions>=4.13 (7a0e012). That floor upgrades 4.12.2 on Serverless environment 5 and Databricks Runtime 17.3 and 18, and leaves the preinstalled 4.15.0 unchanged on Databricks Runtime 19 and Serverless environment 6. A >=4.16.0 floor, as this PR proposes, would also move that 4.15.0 for no gain, so we are still not taking it. Closing it.

OK, I won't notify you again about this release, but will get in touch when a new version is available. If you'd rather skip all updates until the next major or minor version, let me know by commenting @dependabot ignore this major version or @dependabot ignore this minor version. You can also ignore all major, minor, or patch releases for a dependency by adding an ignore condition with the desired update_types to your config file.

If you change your mind, just re-open this PR and I'll resolve any conflicts on it.
