Summary

  • New stable path <site>/slack/. It redirects to the current Slack community invite. The invite URL is in one place (site/astro.config.mjs), so a new invite changes one line. GitHub Pages has no server redirects, so Astro writes a static page with an immediate meta refresh.
  • Landing page: a new "Join the community" module (Sec. 6) before Start, with an outline "Join the Slack" button.
  • Footer of every marketing page: a "Join our Slack community" link in the footer nav, next to Architecture, Compare, Docs, and GitHub, in the same style.
  • Banner: an orange bar above the masthead on every marketing page ("Join the engrams Slack: talk with the engineers who build it"; a shorter label on a phone). It scrolls away with the page. A visitor can close it with ×; the choice is kept in localStorage and a head script hides it before first paint.

All CTAs point at /slack/, not at the invite URL.

Validation

  • pnpm build in site/ passes (leak and style lint, astro check, build, link validator).
  • dist/slack/index.html redirects to the invite. In a browser, /slack/ goes to join.slack.com.
  • Checked the layout at 1440px and 390px wide, scrolled, and with the phone menu open, and after closing the banner and reloading.

The site gets a stable <site>/slack/ path. It redirects to the current
Slack community invite. The invite URL is in one place in
astro.config.mjs, so a new invite changes one line. GitHub Pages has no
server redirects, so Astro writes a static page that redirects at once.

The landing page gets a "Join the community" module before Start. The
footer of every marketing page gets a "Join our Slack community" button.
Both point at /slack/.

A lime bar at the top of the sticky masthead links to /slack/ on every
marketing page. It is part of the masthead, so it stays in view while
the page scrolls, and --masthead-h includes its height for the sticky
offsets, the menu panel, and the hero height. On a phone it shows a
shorter label. A dark gap keeps the bar apart from the lime in the
stripe below it.

Review feedback on the banner and the community module:

- The banner is now orange and sits above the masthead, so it scrolls
away with the page. A visitor can close it. The choice is kept in
localStorage, and a head script hides the banner before first paint,
so a closed banner does not flash on the next page.
- --masthead-h no longer includes the banner. The hero subtracts
--banner-h (0 when closed), and the phone menu panel starts where the
  masthead ends when it opens.
- The "Join the Slack" button in the community module uses the outline
style, so "Run it locally" stays the only lime action at the bottom.

Review feedback: the Slack link does not belong in the Cortex strip. It
is now a plain link after Architecture, Compare, Docs, and GitHub, in
the same style. The footer nav wraps, so the longer row fits on a phone.
