Summary

Add an analytic check for a two-direction irregular wave sampled at three off-origin gauges. It covers both an immediate start and the startup ramp, so direction projection, spreading, phase, and gauge positions must agree with the wave equation.

Verification

  • python -m pytest -q tests/test_wave_parity.py -k directional_irregular_gauges: 2 passed
  • Full local Python suite: 262 passed, 333 skipped; combined line-and-branch coverage 77.61% (displayed as 78%).

This adds a numerical invariant for a core wave input path. It does not change parity case counts.
