Putting this in draft because there's a lower layer issue -- merging worlds here is broken due to exports:

Error: Error creating virtual adapter "tests/cases/fs-preopen-read.toml" for "target/wasm32-wasip1/release/file_read.wasm"

Caused by:
    0: failed to add export `wasi:filesystem/[email protected]`
    1: failed validating export of `wasi:filesystem/[email protected]`
    2: failed validating transitive import dep `wasi:filesystem/[email protected]`
    3: world exports `wasi:io/[email protected]` but it's also transitively used by an import which means that this is not valid

It lokos like updating to upstream deps won't be so easy.

Closing in favor of #121 -- upgrading to 0.227.1 doesn't actually seem possible at this time, and might take quite a bit of re-architecting to get working
