Basically the ring/bowl is split under Quasi-proportional to better make use of the large amount of negative space towards the middle, similarly to the font's usage of
at
=fourfold
oreszet
=longs-s-lig
etc. under Quasi-proportional, separately from the more simplistic variants used under monospace.This is also in line with other proportional fonts, including those with monospace variants as well.
