We should deprecate the O2-related instructions and put a big visible banner at the top referring people to https://aliceo2group.github.io/analysis-framework/docs/gettingstarted/installing.html |

What I do not like about the page you propose is that there is too much text for the basic setup. For example, if I am on mac I should not have to see how to setup a Centos 7 machine. Can that be fixed? |

You don't have to. You just click on the link to macOS at the top of the "Install aliBuild" section and then you move on to the "Configure aliBuild" section which is accessible directly from the main menu on the left. |
