This repository hosts releases and the issue tracker for the PoN PC port of Rockman EXE Phantom of Network.

PoN PC is a native Windows PC port of the previously mobile-exclusive game Rockman EXE Phantom of Network. This port allows the game to be played with no emulator required. The original game's assets, however, are still required to run the port.

Features

In addition to being fully-playable on PC the port also features:

1. Built-in render scaling.
2. Rebound keys to intuitively match the original GBA games' buttons. These keys can also be remapped in-game.
3. Compatibility with the unofficial English fan translation.
4. Compatibility with the unofficial leaderboard for online ranked virus battle mode.

Playing The Game

You will need to obtain the original Japanese i-αppli game files for Rockman EXE Phantom of Network in order to play this port. These files are not included in this download. Please refer to SciLab Secrets on how to obtain these game files.

After obtaining the original game's files, proceed depending on your choice of language.

Japanese

1. Download and unzip the latest PoN PC JPN release.
2. Optional: If you want the quality-of-life changes included with the fan translation, run the included PoN-LoN-Patcher and follow the instructions to apply RockmanEXE-PoN-Japanese.rpz to the game's files. Make sure to select "Start a new game" when prompted to ensure all new features are working as intended. This patch is required for:
   • Compatibility with online ranked virus battle mode.
   • The added in-game method to obtain a BattleChip required to 100% the game, which was previously Chip Trader-exclusive.
3. Copy PoN.jar and PoN.sp from the original game's files to the unzipped directory, if you applied the optional patch, make sure to copy the patched files instead.
4. Run PoN_PC.exe

English

1. Download the Rockman EXE Phantom of Network (PoN) Fan Translation and follow the patching instructions.
2. Download and unzip the latest PoN PC ENG release.
3. Copy PoN.jar and PoN.sp from the patched game's files to the unzipped directory.
4. Run PoN_PC_eng.exe
