Soldered MAX7219 MicroPython Library

8x8 LED matrix MAX7219
8x8 LED matrix MAX7219

Available in 6 colors (SKUs 333148-333153).

This board is a 64-LED (8x8) dot matrix display driven by the MAX72xx (MAX7219/MAX7221) chip over a 3-wire SPI-like interface (DIN/CLK/CS), with support for daisy-chaining multiple modules. Comes in 6 colors (green, red, purple, white, orange, blue). The driver supports several common hardware wiring variants (generic/FC-16/Parola/ICStation module types) via a configurable hardware-mapping flag.

After installing the mpremote package, install the library on your board using the following command:

  mpremote mip install github:SolderedElectronics/Soldered-MAX7219-MicroPython-Library

Or, if you're running a Windows OS:

python -m mpremote mip install github:SolderedElectronics/Soldered-MAX7219-MicroPython-Library
