| Position sensor AS5600 breakout (SKU 333183) |
This contactless rotation sensor measures the absolute angle of a diametrically magnetized on-axis magnet at 12-bit resolution (4096 positions per revolution) across the full 0-360° range. It's available in both I2C (Qwiic) and native modes: native mode reads the sensor's analog or PWM output pin directly via ADC, while I2C mode reads angle/magnitude/status registers directly, with 3.3V/5V level shifting either way.
After installing the mpremote package, install the library on your board using the following command:
mpremote mip install github:SolderedElectronics/Soldered-AS5600-MicroPython-LibraryOr, if you're running a Windows OS:
python -m mpremote mip install github:SolderedElectronics/Soldered-AS5600-MicroPython-Library- as5600.py - MicroPython driver class (Native + I2C)
- package.json - mip install manifest
- /Examples - I2C examples covering angle reading, magnitude, status, direction, angular speed, offset, and analog/PWM output mode configuration
You can find hardware design for this board in the Position sensor AS5600 breakout hardware repository.
