The genuine finding here — the stale GitHub docs URL in lectures/workspace.md — is fixed and merged in #590.
The two FRED links reported as broken are false positives and need no change in this repo. Both return 200 in well under a second from a normal network; the 0 (Timeout) status is FRED throttling GitHub Actions runner IPs. They are already whitelisted for Sphinx in lectures/_config.yml under linkcheck_ignore, but the link checker scans built HTML and never sees that configuration.
The durable fix belongs in the action. Tracked upstream in QuantEcon/action-link-checker#2, which requests an ignore-patterns input plus deduplication so a recurring finding updates one issue rather than opening a new one each week. Duplicates #555, #556, #559, #564, #565, #567, #571 and #583 were closed in favour of this one.
Note that until that upstream change lands, the weekly cron will keep filing this report — and it will grow to four FRED links once a release includes the Polars lecture, which carries the same URL.
