The community board now has only Community Hub and PyAutoEars links above the copyable check-in. It removes the “Unknown response state” and “Following through” sections and their navigation cards, while showing unknown-response conversations in Community activity and preserving underlying evidence.

The check-in prompt also supports an ongoing working conversation: a default community review, focused follow-ups, concrete next actions and existing approval boundaries.

Tracks PyAutoLabs/PyAutoBrain#484. The user approved the Ears cleanup plan and coordination with this PR. Merge remains human-authorized.

Scripts Changed

  • ears/presentation.py: expanded check-in wording and removed obsolete section styling.
  • ears/board.py: bounded panel destinations, simplified sections/navigation and fixed expiry handling after section removal.
  • REFERENCE.md: documented the revised board.
  • Existing renderer and browser tests: updated expected sections and checked preserved unknown-state evidence.

Validation

  • 73 tests passed.
  • Chromium: mobile/desktop, light/dark, live navigation anchors, two panel links, clipboard success/fallback and expiry handling; no JavaScript errors.
  • Generated state.json passed Brain contract validation.
  • git diff --check passed.

Readiness

Heart YELLOW at 2026-10-07T07:01:07.479678+00:00; the existing task acknowledgement covers the unchanged reasons:

  • manifest drift: shared-standards blocks (generated) — 2 mismatch(es) vs PyAutoMind/repos.yaml
  • release validation stale: source moved since rehearsal (PyAutoNerves, PyAutoFit, PyAutoArray, PyAutoGalaxy, PyAutoLens)

Development PR only; no merge or release authorization.
