Check here for the detailed results.

Tests of released versions

  • The workflow Install KiteModels (latest releases) (latest stable Julia and Julia 1.12) installs the latest, released version of KiteModels as package, installs the examples, creates a system image and runs the example simulate_simple.jl
  • The workflow Install KiteControllers (latest release) (latest stable Julia) installs the latest, released version of KiteControllers as package, installs the examples and runs the example autopilot.jl
  • The workflow Install KiteSimulators (latest release) (Julia 1.11) installs the package KiteSimulators.jl, which is a meta-package that installs most of the other packages of the OpenSourceAWE software tools. Furthermore it creates a system image and runs the example autopilot.jl.

Tests of pre-release versions

  • The workflow Test KiteModels#main --update (latest stable Julia) checks out the main branch of KiteModels.jl and runs install -y --update. It does not create a system image.
  • The workflow Test KiteModels#main (latest stable Julia) checks out the main branch of KiteModels.jl and runs create_sysimage, in other words, it uses Manifest-v1.x.toml.default matching the Julia version.
  • The workflow Install KiteModels#main (latest stable Julia) installs KiteModels#main as package, installs the examples, creates a system image
  • The workflow Install KiteControllers#main (latest stable Julia) installs KiteControllers#main as package, installs the examples and runs the example autopilot.jl
  • The workflow Test KiteControllers#main (latest stable Julia) checks out the main branch of KiteControllers.jl and runs install -y and create_sys_image -y, in other words, it uses Manifest-v1.x.toml.default matching the Julia version.
  • The workflow Test KiteControllers#main --update (latest stable Julia) checks out the main branch of KiteControllers.jl and runs install -y --update and create_sys_image -y.
  • The workflow Test Tethers#main (latest stable Julia) checks out the main branch of Tether.jl and runs install -y and create_sy_image -y.
  • The workflow Test Tethers#main (macOS) (latest stable Julia) does the same as Test Tethers#main, but on a macOS runner (macos-latest, 7 GB of RAM).
  • The workflow Test RobustKiteControllers#main (Windows) (latest stable Julia) checks out the main branch of RobustKiteControllers.jl on a Windows runner (16 GB of RAM, 24 GB pagefile, Mesa for OpenGL), runs create_sys_image and checks that the compressed system image is smaller than 1.9 GB. It is only started manually.
  • The workflow Test KiteControllers#main (Windows) (latest stable Julia) runs install -y and create_sys_image -y of KiteControllers.jl#main on the same Windows runner, to measure the memory the build needs without image compression, and checks that the system image is smaller than 1.9 GB. It is only started manually.

"Latest stable Julia" means the juliaup channel 1, i.e. the newest released Julia version.

These scripts run automatically every night between 01:00am and 06:00am.

If this repo is not touched, the runs are paused after three months, so check when they were running the last time before trusting the green badges.

Purpose

Detect possible bugs due to the ways our packages interact with each other or due to broken updates in indirect dependencies (integration test). Furthermore, test the install_examples() function and the create_sys_image scripts.
