Collect metadata from reports #154
Description
Following a suggestion from @monicacecilia during the BOSC ISMB/ECC 2025, we can implement a way to collect metadata of the input files from the reports we create, such as authors, DOIs, license motivation, allowed usage, formats, report filed (i.e., Genomics, Metagenomics, etc), and others. In the long term, this can help us to keep track of statistics and calculate metrics about the reports generated with VueGen.
We can add the metadata in the generated configuration file or in a different file that complies with a metadata schema.
