Minor Changes
  • ab9613a: Update the generated command surface for Forge OpenAPI release
    57b5196b0cb64ae395bebc71f9a933eeda99bf64.

  • 7ef1a2e: Validate array body limits instead of batching requests

Reject JSON array bodies that exceed the API schema's maxItems, including inline
input, files, and dry runs. Remove automatic request batching for every HTTP method
so array limits cannot silently change an operation's meaning or lose results.

Patch Changes
  • 775a37f: Include destructive confirmation flags in command metadata

Expose --force and its -f alias in shell completions and other metadata consumers for generated DELETE commands and operations that require confirmation.

  • b5c5756: Correct action labels for commands that require confirmation

Show Updating/Updated for confirmed PUT and PATCH operations and neutral
Processing/Done labels for confirmed POST actions. Keep their operation-specific
warnings and --force behavior, and reject missing required --body input before
    asking for confirmation.

  • a0eed39: Upload binary multipart arrays as file parts

Fix cf ai to-markdown --file path to upload under the API's files field.
Accept multiple files with --files @first.html @second.pdf or repeated
--files flags, preserving each file's bytes and filename.

  • 7619cbd: Normalize generated option names in command metadata

Use the command builder's kebab-case normalization for option metadata so
completions and tools advertise the flags accepted by existing commands.

  • 707e9ac: Describe plain-text --body correctly in command metadata

For commands that send --body as text/plain, command metadata used by
cf tools now gives the same description as --help instead of asking for
raw JSON. This includes media types with parameters such as
text/plain;charset=UTF-8. When no description is provided, both metadata
    and --help use plain-text wording.

  • 5b21733: Keep CLI usage errors concise

Exit with an error for unknown top-level and nested command names followed by --help or -h. Show concise errors and italic hints to the relevant help command. Unknown global flags also list the available global flags.

    • miniflare: 5.20261101.0-beta → 5.20261102.0-beta
  • 12fddf0: Require input for mandatory plain-text request bodies

Reject commands that omit a required plain-text body before authentication or API requests. Accept either --body or --file, preserve explicitly supplied empty raw bodies, and mention both input options in upload validation errors. Reject explicitly supplied empty file paths for raw and multipart uploads.

  • f3ebc1e: Expose pagination metadata on stderr

Print the API's result_info, including cursors and page counts, on stderr so
list results can be paged with --cursor or the endpoint's page flags. Keep
stdout payloads unchanged for scripts, preserve metadata for object results
and passthrough requests, and suppress the notice with --quiet.

  • 1de7b1b: Validate --body before authenticating or confirming

Commands now parse --body, and enforce its item limit, before
authenticating or showing a confirmation prompt. A malformed body or an
unreadable @file therefore fails straight away, without a login or account
lookup first and without asking you to confirm a destructive action. On JSON
endpoints, an empty --body "" is now rejected as invalid JSON instead of
being ignored, and --dry-run shows the --file path for raw-body uploads.
Multipart flags still keep --body literal, and --file still takes
precedence over --body; early validation only parses a body the command
    will send.

  • 16cd290: Fix scoped API token validity reporting in cf auth whoami

Check the token verification status so restricted user and account detail
endpoints do not make an active token appear invalid. Report unknown validity
when none of the available checks can establish the token's status.

Minor Changes
  • bbe47a8: Give API fields that collide with cf's own flags distinct names

Generated commands no longer drop, merge, or shadow API fields whose names match a cf flag. cf precursor update --detection-mode sets the previously unreachable mode, and cf o11y telemetry query and cf o11y shared-queries create gain --preview.

One behavior change: on cf cloudforce-one priority-intelligence profile update, the organization profile is now --organization-profile, and --profile selects the auth profile again. An API parameter named force can no longer take cf's confirmation --force. cf ai run and cf registrar registrations create accept schema fields named after cf flags as --input-<name> (for example --input-quiet), and cf schema lists the flag behind a path or query parameter when it has one.

  • 8129166: Update the generated command surface for Forge OpenAPI release 319dc756af2a642b3122b4db7e3b79ac1fbec7d8

Keep cf auth scopes working with the OAuth scope catalogue's new IAM group.

  • aaa712d: Update the generated command surface for Forge OpenAPI release
    ec5b5772f5cf7dfb16c49f3527671edfa37bb666.

Patch Changes
  • cde5fa3: Explain how account-or-zone commands pick their scope

Commands that serve either an account or a zone, such as cf rulesets list
and cf load-balancers account list, now say in --help that they run
against your account unless you pass --zone, and that they ignore
    CLOUDFLARE_ZONE_ID.

  • edc13df: Prepare generated commands to preserve audio API responses

Recognize audio/* responses as binary data in the command generator and its
operation descriptors, including schemas without format: binary. Future commands
generated for audio endpoints will write the exact bytes to stdout so they can be
redirected to a file. No commands generated from the currently pinned OpenAPI
specification declare audio responses, so this change does not alter the behavior
    of any currently shipped command.

  • cde5fa3: Reject --zone without a value

An empty --zone used to fall back to CLOUDFLARE_ZONE_ID, and --dry-run
previewed a /zones// path. On commands that serve both an account and a
zone, it also switched to zone scope. cf now stops with
--zone requires a non-empty value. and, as with --mode, rejects a repeated
    --zone.

Commands that forward arguments, such as cf containers ssh, used to drop a
-z with no value, so cf containers ssh <id> ls -z ran plain ls. That now
stops with the same error. Put forwarded arguments after --, as in
    cf containers ssh <id> -- ls -z.

  • 8e5f074: Keep required HTTP header parameters out of generated JSON request bodies.

Flags such as --if-match are now sent only as headers rather than also being copied into the body under a generated field name.

  • 57bca06: Validate nested tagged unions when assembling request bodies from flags.

Preserve branch-specific required fields, closed-object rules, and available
array limits, including unions selected by enum values without an explicit
discriminator. Apply the checks to requests and dry-run previews.
Preserve the alternatives of enclosing unions and retain explicit --body
input as an escape hatch from these projected checks.

  • 3043819: Update dependencies published from the Workers SDK repository:

    • @cloudflare/autoconfig: 0.8.3 → 0.9.0
    • @cloudflare/build-output-utils: 0.9.6 → 0.9.7
    • @cloudflare/cli-shared-helpers: 0.3.0 → 0.3.1
    • @cloudflare/codemods: 0.7.0 → 0.7.1
    • @cloudflare/config: 0.29.0 → 0.29.1
    • @cloudflare/containers-shared: 0.23.5 → 0.23.6
    • @cloudflare/deploy-helpers: 0.24.3 → 0.24.4
    • @cloudflare/runtime-types: 0.1.19 → 0.1.20
    • @cloudflare/workers-auth: 0.15.3 → 0.15.4
    • @cloudflare/workers-utils: 0.50.1 → 0.50.2
    • miniflare: 5.20261023.3-beta → 5.20261101.0-beta
  • aa0ee04: Correct generated validation for nested optional request-body objects.

Required fields are now enforced only when their containing object is supplied. This prevents flags in sibling objects from incorrectly requiring one another and keeps defaults from creating absent optional objects.

Raw --body requests continue to bypass validation for individual body flags.

  • 350c808: Preserve alternative-specific requirements in generated body flags

Keep nested fields with the same name distinct when deriving oneOf constraints. Workers VPC service flags now require only the tunnel for the selected host alternative and accept dual-stack IPv4 and IPv6 hosts.

Reject incompatible flag combinations only when no alternative supports them and the variants declare required fields. Keep all-optional configuration updates compatible with cleanup payloads that combine settings from different alternatives.

Minor Changes
  • 45e01e0: Rank cf deploy first for static site and Pages deploy searches

cf cli search now leaves out commands hidden from help, and hand-written commands can add search keywords or be excluded from results through their metadata. cf deploy gains keywords for static sites, Pages projects, and full-stack applications, and its description now says it deploys all three. The advisory cf pages deploy command, which only points to cf deploy, no longer appears in search results.

  • 8f8a0ce: Update the generated command surface for Forge OpenAPI release

Minor Changes
  • 24e9142: Group OAuth scopes by product

cf auth login now summarizes granted scopes instead of hinting at the full list, and the new cf auth scopes command shows them in the product categories of Cloudflare's OAuth scope catalogue, which it caches for a day. Scopes the catalogue does not categorize are listed under Uncategorized. Pass a product name, --all, or --filter <term> to list the permissions, with non-read access highlighted and non-default scopes marked as custom. cf auth whoami is unchanged.

  • d11af6b: Update the generated command surface for Forge OpenAPI release
    c4fbef6545cc3ae3ef7724398dc12e1fecbd9183.

  • b53a8be: Update the generated command surface for Forge OpenAPI release
    d35bb4402f3864b83e802be14ca7f58eb920528b.

Patch Changes
  • cc21ffb: Preserve arrays in generated query parameter flags

Accept multiple values after a query array flag, such as --ids first second,
while retaining support for repeated flags. Parse single values as arrays and
preserve each operation's repeated-key or comma-separated query serialization.

  • 5db5ab3: Update dependencies published from the Workers SDK repository:

v1.0.0-beta.24

Compare Source

Minor Changes
  • 014eadd: Delegate development registry resolution to Miniflare

During the cf beta, stop overriding registry paths for cf dev and --local.
Miniflare v5 owns the default <Cloudflare config directory>/dev-registry/v5
and the CLOUDFLARE_DEV_REGISTRY_PATH override. cf no longer interprets
    CLOUDFLARE_REGISTRY_PATH or translates registry settings for child processes;
exported environment variables reach the selected project tooling unchanged.

Wrangler retains its own default registry for compatibility. Set the same
CLOUDFLARE_DEV_REGISTRY_PATH for cf and compatible Wrangler/Vite processes when
they need to share development resources.

  • 6b19d0c: Upload every binary multipart field from a file

Generated multipart commands now add a flag for each format: binary
form field besides the payload that --file fills. For example,
cf pages deployments create accepts --worker-js, --routes-json,
    --redirects, --worker-bundle, and
--functions-filepath-routing-config-json, so a Pages Direct Upload can
    include an advanced-mode _worker.js with --worker-js @./_worker.js.
These flags accept literal content or @path/to/file, matching other body
flags while preserving uploaded file bytes and filenames. Both forms upload
as file parts; inline content uses the original form field name as its filename.
Before this change, --file only reached _headers and the other files
    could not be sent.

  • 16a20a5: Update the generated command surface for Forge OpenAPI release
    e2b8c60b0222e9df2db7db83fdbf465f099a5189.

  • ab93021: Update the generated command surface for Forge OpenAPI release
    fd89c869d0cfca05d431fa56fdec63ebe96e7c37.

  • 2f2745f: Update the generated command surface for Forge OpenAPI release
    fdc1aa8a39e2e515f26c2fc6109d7e93050e811c.

Patch Changes
  • 2e6c118: Explain dotenv variable expansion in --secrets-file help

Document how dotenv secrets files passed to cf deploy and cf workers versions create expand $VAR and ${VAR} using process values and earlier file values. Process values override matching file keys, including explicitly empty values. Only keys declared in the secrets file are uploaded.

Explain how to escape literal dollar signs with a backslash (PASSWORD=pa\$word), or use JSON to preserve values exactly. Only use trusted dotenv secrets files, since references can read and upload any process environment value. JSON secrets files and API bulk-secret commands retain their existing behavior.
