FastUpload - A quick way to upload images to Google Photos 🖼️

Google Chrome extension that creates a context menu option that uploads the clicked image to your Google Photos

How To Use It

1. Go to setup and finish the instructions there
2. Right click the image you want to upload to Google Photos 👉🖱️
3. Click on the extension name (In this case it would be EzUpload) 🖱️

Installation

• Use a Chrome browser

Clone

• Clone this repo to your local machine using git clone -b master [email protected]:JustinSo1/EzUpload.git

Setup

• Taken from https://developer.chrome.com/extensions/getstarted

1. Open the Extension Management page by navigating to chrome://extensions.
   • The Extension Management page can also be opened by clicking on the Chrome menu, hovering over More Tools then selecting Extensions.
2. Enable Developer Mode by clicking the toggle switch next to Developer mode.
3. Click the LOAD UNPACKED button and select the extension directory.

FAQ

• When I upload images does it count toward the Google Photos storage quota?
  • Yes, unfortunately. Google Photos API currently only supports uploading images in "Original Quality". To convert to "High Quality", go to https://photos.google.com/settings and click the Recover storage button
