Regarding Gource: Nice idea. I would maybe publish it 14 days after the dedicated JabCon article and to contain the video directly than a usage hint.

1. Create a Gource video for a defined range of JabCon date (maybe 14 days before to 14 days after)
2. Publish the Gource video on YouTube
