This would affect the balance of the game in various ways. The Dev team is discussing the potential integration but this may remain stale for a little bit in the meantime. (It's very divisive) If you had any thoughts or justification on the matter you're encouraged to edit your post / put a comment here / comment in #github-discussion in the discord. We welcome all conversation. Also, in the future, it's typical for a large change like this to be discussed first in the Discord or GitHub issue as a suggestion, and for the PR to have an explanation & link to that conversation. It's for both our benefit and yours, since if we decide not to move forward with it all your coding effort gets wasted; something nobody wants. |

@hinyb I think it would help the team in its decision about this PR to know the typical usecases of such ability to manipulate the MM with a robot. |

There was a longer discussion and even a dev vote about this. I am surprised nobody wrote here afterwards. The majority was against it. Though that does not mean there is a general consensus - maybe that is the reason nobody dared. Basically the MM was added to help players play the game, not to stop them from playing. Hence no automation, schematics, etc. Or in this case having your base auto-increase production or power capabilities without you present or doing anything. It is just not a direction we want to go further in. |
