The new censoring changes are terrible and are leading to the most basic phrases being censored. For example, "this is so bad" turns into "****** so bad" (I'm referring to the new update in this message).

You should never force censoring onto players unless there is good reason to do so, or unless you have a way of turning it off visually on the client-side (e.g. Steam and it's censoring allows you to disable censoring words).

I can no longer speak normally or say/use words like "showing", "got it", etc.

Please, do better.

I am considering using other options such as e4mc because of this. Hell, maybe I'll even make my own Essentials-like mod that isn't dogshit.

This reverts commit a051c57.

Not only that, if this censoring was designed for children in mind:

  1. Most may not know how to install mods in the first place.
  2. 43% (Source: a quick google search) of the Minecraft playerbase is 15-21 years old.
  3. Most will be probably be using Minecraft: Bedrock Edition for Windows or playing on Xbox/PlayStation.

@StupidRepo StupidRepo changed the title Please revert the censoring changes. Please revert the censoring changes - it censors random stuff. Oct 30, 2025
