For python 3:
A couple of import statements need to change (keeping the old python 2 versions as a fallback in
exceptblock).Also,
_Chainmapis no longer available (always the danger with importing private functions!) so replicate the necessary functionality a different way. (Note: theelse:is indented with thefor:, not theif:-- this is intentional.)
