Hey @waynebruce0x,
Although bridged assets are held on the Ethereum side, the assets are currently being used to generate yield via AO's fair launch.
I have retrieved the balances via Ethereum as I figured it would be more straightforward for the adapter, would building the adapter AO side make more sense for the TVL to be counted in AO?
Thanks!

I don't want to take up too much of your time sending you this, but this is a great article on how the bridge works :)

We count TVL on the chain where the tokens are locked therefore the fair launch / bridge TVL can only be tracked on Ethereum, not AO. This is the same methodology we use across all protocols, see Rings for example

I think I’m misunderstanding something. Does this mean that when the AO bridge unlocks on the other side we will be able to track the locked assets on both Ethereum and AO? In other words— how would we go about tracking TVL in AO otherwise?

Assets locked in this bridge will be counted as AO bridge on https://defillama.com/bridged . To show as TVL on https://defillama.com/chain/ao the bridged assets must be locked in Defi protocols
