Migrating Your Account
⚠️ This page is intended for existing KinkShell users who are migrating their account to the new passwordless system introduced in v0.0.9.
Welcome! This guide will help you migrate your account. A passwordless account means you have less to remember, and your data is more secure.
If you've updated to v0.0.9, the first time you open KinkShell as an existing user, the screen will look like this:
Legacy users currently have the ability to log in with their existing credentials, or perform the migration. Legacy logins will only be supported for a short time, so it is recommended to migrate as soon as you can.
If your screen doesn't look like this, try clicking on the Configuration button and ensuring that your login credentials have been entered:
The migration process looks very similar to the account creation process. You will see a verification token, which is needed to authenticate you on the Lodestone.
Add the code to your Lodestone Character Profile Bio, and save the changes. After this, return to KinkShell and click on "Verify" to confirm your character with the Lodestone. If all is successful, you will be fully migrated and brought to the KinkShell home screen.
