Overall pretty well done. Your 1st method (remove duplicates) creates a new array and so is not "in place." However otherwise it works. The second method is fairly inventive. Nice work!

Since you are creating a new array the space complexity is O(n). This is also not in place.

That works, very clever because it's finding the max and min strings alphabetically.
