way to open / move to specific directory

I looked at the tutorial and there seems to be no key that I can enter to have the current panel be opened in a new directory that I choose by entering the path. Same is true of creating a new file panel. I didn't see how I could create a new file panel in /some/random/directory. I think there should be a way to:

• enter a directory path and have current panel shift to that directory
• open a new panel in a user specified path

Why it is necessary to enhancement

easier navigation between random directories

Sorry if this is possible but I didn't see anything in the tutorial about this.
