Visual Bug with Autocomplete and Command History

I encounter issues with the rendering of the terminal content after pressing the tab key or using the command history (up arrow key). The content of the line where I write gets messy, and characters are not displayed correctly until I resize the terminal window.

• xterm.js version: 5.5.0

Steps to reproduce

1. Open the xterm.js terminal.
2. Press the tab key to autocomplete a command or navigate through the command history using the up arrow key.
3. Try to add space or character in the middle of a autocompleted/history command, the command will be seemly overwritten.
4. Resize the terminal to see the visual bug fix itself

I have tried triggering refresh and resize on tab, and approaches like that but it does not seem to resolve it, any idea what it could be?

Tried console logging the buffer to see if it was only a visual bug, but the buffer also gets messed content. It looks like when I try to add characters in the middle of a non-user-generated command/text then I end up writing over the existing string.

I am a bit lost on what to do to fix the problem.

Was an implementation problem on my side.
