Hi all, I wanted to post the 190 update for our SystemCore alpha testing! So far, everything has been going smoothly. So far, SystemCore has run at two events, The Nor'Easter, and N.E.R.D. Transitioning from the RoboRIO to the SystemCore was virtually painless, there were a couple of hiccups with us needing to add a pull-up resistor to our SmartIO sensors, but it appears there is a board to fix that now so we'll be able to switch to those if needed. We did have to replace the resistor at N.E.R.D. after a collision caused a break in the resistor connection. We also ran into the known issue with USB mounting on Alpha 6, so we unfortunately don't have any wpilogs from our events, but on inspection of our code live, the loop cycle times run at ~5ms, with spikes up to ~8-9ms when the GC runs. We have 3 more offseason events planned, which we will hopefully have logs for :)
We have put about ~20 hours of driver practice on our SystemCore unit at home. New drivers collide the robot with the field walls, driverstation, and reef all the time, and nothing bad has happened so far!
