  1. WinGet automatically updates SystemInformer Canary
  2. Thread found notification pops up
  3. Installer removed
  4. Update cannot proceed

Report the false positive to Microsoft: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/wdsi/filesubmission

WinGet accepted the installer which involves scanning through their own pipelines. So it possible your definitions for defender are out of date (check for updates)?

Reach back out if you can't get this resolved. But honestly, this needs reported to Microsoft from users not developers. Your voice holds more weight than ours.

I tried using the in app updater, it still triggered the alert

Literally just downloaded the file from your website, Windows deleted it before it even started downloading it, reported submitted to Microsoft
