Hourly precipitation values #790

Hello, I have started using this api recently and I was wondering if there was any way I could get the precipitation amount in the hourly forecast. I see that there is a probability of precipitation value in the hourly forecast but no amount of precipitation. The only place I see a precipitation amount is in the 12 hour period forecast, but that does not help for an hourly chart. I also saw that on the weather.gov webpage it has hourly (or really 3 hour) precipitation values, but I can not find these anywhere on the API. Any help is appreciated. |

@netbymatt i did see that, however it does not show anything for an hourly precipitation value, only in unpredictable increments. Is there any hourly value that can be used? Or is this supposed to be that |

Unfortunately no. Pretty much all of the raw numeric values are issued in increments. Some, finer than others. Amounts of rain, ice and snow, cloud cover, temperature, dewpoint... At least they follow the same pattern. Once you've got some kind of code in place to "fill in the gaps" in the data you can use that same code to pluck out hour-by-hour values for any of those forecasted values. |
