create task forces for WSG #8
Comments
Also: A task force on measurability (similar to the metrics group) - focused on improving our calculation data. Whether that be the creation of tooling to provide mass implementation reporting metrics, test suite data, or standards based metrics (GRI, ISO, etc). |
Maybe we could also discuss how we want to handle additionnal topics like WebGPU, AI and such. Basically : to which topics do we react and how do we do so. |
You can count me in for a measurability task force. |
Happy to contribute to the Business strategy and Product Management task force. |
Hello, I'd be interested to get involved with a UX task force |
I can definitely help on the measuribility task force @AlexDawsonUK @timfrick @ines-akrap @TzviyaSiegman . I look forward to getting involved, I spend most my time thinking about this already :) its a fascinating challenge. Adam |
Please count me in to the web dev TF. |
(even if measurability is my priority, I can try and find time if other groups need some reviews or feedbacks) |
Happy to help with the measurability task force |
Measurability TF: @ldevernay, @lmastalerz, @anewmandev, @hanopcan Please add your name if I forgot you or if you would like to be added. |
Hi, I would like to help in the hosting / infrastructure TF. |
Hi @TzviyaSiegman, I'd like to be added to the measurability TF. |
@rcbrgs and @ohuu thanks for volunteering. Would you please join the IG at https://www.w3.org/groups/ig/sustainableweb/. If you are not a member of W3C, please review our Invited Expert policy. |
Hello! Could I please be added to the WebDev TF? |
Joined 😃 |
add me to the Business strategy and Product Management |
Hi, I'd be interested in supporting the UX task force |
I'd be happy to support any of these task forces. Though right now with our new grid-aware websites project the measurability and UX might be most relevant. |
Hi, I am happy to support both two task forces, the UX one and the Business Strategy and Product Development, I have experience in both areas. Thanks :) |
I'd like to join Web Dev primarily and would also be interested in Business Strategy / Product Development |
I'm on the measurability TF already, but is it also possible to be added to the
Web Dev TF as well?

Hi folks, It wasn't obvious to me where the discussion about adoption might take place of the 4 groups. If the Business Strategy and Product Development group is where it would take place, I'd be interested in that, as I see a recurring demand now for people wanting to take ideas in things like the WSGs and or the French RGESN guidelines, and adapt them for use in their own organisations. In quite a few cases, following these guidelines is a condition of actually getting funding for a project to go ahead / and passing any spend control checks, and so on. This is good in some ways, because it means guidelines are more likely to be followed - huzzah! On the flipside, it also means that the existing capabilities and skills inside existing teams needs to be taken in to account so there's at least some bar you can reasonably expect everyone to clear to start off with. If you don't we end up with either a) no projects get approved, or b) the guidelines being ignored and teams only picking and choosing whatever sounds easy / fun. |
I'm still interested in the Hosting & Architecture task force but help is greatly needed on this. |
Sustainable Web CG had task forces devoted to working on each section of WSG, and most work was done async. It would be helpful to have similar in IG.
