beforeRouteEnter on <scrip setup>

Is there any way to use beforeRounteEnter hook within <script setup />?

In options API it can be used as:

  beforeRouteEnter (to, from, next) {
    if (to.query.is_active) return next()

    const route = {
      ...to,
      query: {
        ...to.query,
        is_active: true
      }
    }

    next(route)
  }
}
</script>

Why is it not possible to do it this way?

import { onBeforeRouteEnter } from 'vue'

onBeforeRouteEnter((to, from, next) => {
  if (to.query.is_active) return next()

  const route = {
    ...to,
    query: {
      ...to.query,
      is_active: true
    }
  }
})

Because it has to happen before mounting, which means before executing the setup.
