@johnjelinek - I've pushed an implementation, and the latest snapshot has it. Can you give that try? If you are using lein-vertx, you can try the snapshot by editing ~/.lein/lein-vertx/conf/langs.properties and changing the lang-clojure version to 1.0.2-SNAPSHOT. If you aren't using lein-vertx, you would do the same, but in $VERTX_HOME/conf/langs.properties.

If that works for you, I'll cut a release.
