It's a good idea - we also thought about that for a while.
A theoretical scenario could be:
We will see if and fiddle around a little bit in the near future if the battery management is finalized. |

@ClausiusMaximus sorry for the late response on that topic. We tried our best and were in contact with the manufacturer about the lack of good schematics from the electronics of the device (PCB). After some more detailed questions we no longer got answers about the battery management and wiring of it. I opened up my device and did measurings on the circuts and tried to trace down the required lines from the chip of the battery management. It seems that the manufacturer was a bit to lazy and did not connect 2 pins of the chip so that we cannot communicate with it. My friend and I discussed about a possible hardware modification we could try by soldering these pins manually to the processor. Since this would be a very advanced solution for most people it will be kind of impossible to provide the functionality. The code is still written and we're still clueless how we could make us of it without modifying the electionics by soldering wires inside the device. |

Maybe you are right in Developing in dev battery branch.
I Just wanted to add an external battery Switch for my LiPo battery, so that I dont have to Always Push the tiny Button Inside the Display housing.
Is there an Option to "Cut" the internal battery Switch ?
