I have created a new browser profile with only uBO and its default settings, and confirmed the issue still occurs in that new profile
I updated uBO to the latest versions (1.62.0+)

I removed custom config / reset to defaults. <== This means removing your custom filters (or disabling My filters) and disabling ALL additional lists you have enabled MANUALLY, including the ones listed by uBO. DO NOT disable DEFAULT filter lists. It might be quicker to make a backup of your config and restore to defaults instead.

I completely disabled ALL other extensions AND browser's built-in blockers. <== They might interfere with our solutions. However, DO NOT disable "Firefox Multi-Account Containers" add-on.

Edge: Click on "lock" icon at the left of URL bar -> Turn off Tracking Prevention

I did not remove any of the default filter lists, or I have verified that the issue was not caused by removing any of the default lists.
I verified the issue does not exist if I turn off uBO.

On YouTube page that has issue: click 🛡️ uBO's icon > 💬 Report > Click "Troubleshooting information" > Select all > Copy > Share it.

Provide video recordings of how to reproduce the issue.

Disable everything other than uBlock Origin and see if it does away.
Then, enable them one-by-one and see which one caused it.

@somebody0278 Can you do these steps (follow strictly the step order, don't mix the steps orders, or skip any steps):

Click on uBO icon > ▤ "The logger" icon, it will open a logger window
Open new tab and reproduce the issue
Switch to the logger window that was opened in step 1, click on search bar, choose blocked
Copy the logger via 📋 export/copy button at the top right
Paste the logs here

If you are using proxy to direct the network requests to your local / LAN addresses, you should not enable that list.

Hello. I might need to report an issue here, due to my troubleshotting process of this:

Works fine with Safari ( + Adguard)
Works fine when uBlock Origin Disabled (disabling just on youtube also helps)
getting problems only when enabled uBlock Origin
Tested on Incognito tab, same results.
Network connection has no problem at all
Happened from few days ago
Not using any VPN or Proxy at least while this occurs.
fully Removed and reinstalled uBlock Origin, and still occurs.
DNS using CloudFlare 1.1.1.1
When trying on Incognito I was logged out ans same occured.

HW: Macbook Pro M1 Max
SW: MacOS 15.2

So that, most of the urls that starts with https://www.youtube.com/youtubei/v1/ and some of subdomain-whatever.googlevideo.com/videoplayback urls does not get HTTP 200, sometimes gets 4xx but normally no response at all (response code 0) when uBlock Origin is Enabled.
That api endpoint contains player, browse, so that does breaks to view video lists at all on the main youtube page (/), to youtube videos, and like almost all of the functions.
The logs says it is not blocked by ublock origin, but however, I think that YT might be testing out some of the ways to block adblocks?

am I YT Premium user: Yes

Here is some screenshots I got to track details:

- This one shows that Video playback does not work as expected

- This one shows the timing that It just took a long time to check DNS and it even didn't tried to connect at all

- logs of uBlock origin just in case

- As on this screenshot it shows that it hasn't been tried to make any connections at all. (for 1.76 minutes)

Or also tries to connect and nothing comes back

- Some HAR logs to show what exactlly happened on url contains `https://www.youtube.com/youtubei/v1/`

This can be Firefox bug. I have issue for a few days on Nightly, where the main request to YT does not have any response at all. Pages looks like after opening https://google.com/generate_204 Disabling all add-ons does not help. Browser restart may help.

Yeah, your issue looks really simmilar to mine. The reason I posted here is cause I was able to figure out by disabling uBO when I tried, however I was also really unsure because of that "0ms" thing. Maybe YT was doing some updates and something were might be wrong or I don't really know what caused this. But at least https://google.com/generate_204 doesn't have 0ms timing thing, I cannot be really sure.

Yes, not all highly upvoted posts are from uBO team. We never advise users to turn off any of the default lists when issues occur.
