Replace $HOME with $TRANSMART_HOME

A relatively simple change that would make the install more flexible: instead of hard-wiring the install to $HOME, set up an env variable TRANSMART_HOME, and if not already defined,set to $HOME.

Keith, $HOME is set automatically by the system so I can be relied on. I like your idea of moving away from using a fixed location; something to consider in the net version. With better checking and better testing as the load proceeds, we should be able to implement/test such a change easily.
