Doesn't work properly for non-English games with English titles

I'm trying to translate the library title for Dragon Quest X Offline (1358750) https://steamdb.info/app/1358750/info/
While at a first glance, this title looks like it could be the Japanese one, it actually is the 'English' one: 勇者鬥惡龍X　覺醒的五種族　OFFLINE

The titles are actually as follows for Japanese and English:
japanese | ドラゴンクエストＸ　目覚めし五つの種族　オフライン
english | 勇者鬥惡龍X　覺醒的五種族　OFFLINE

In Steam, I see the English title because my Steam language is English.

However, and here's the issue, in Steam Metadata Editor I see the Japanese title.

I can modify this section as much as I want, but since SME only modifies the Japanese title, it doesn't actually show up in Steam. Weirdly, the sort title does change as it should, but the actual title doesn't. It stays as the default 'English' title.

Seems like Steam Metadata Editor detects that the game is Japanese somehow but fails to consider that it also has an English title.
