Are there any parts of sphinx-autodoc-typehints that it would make sense to upstream? Would there be interest in doing so?

I'm working on an ast-based implementation of autodoc, but in the meantime I'm looking at making autodoc itself more maintainable -- removing the tangled mess of mixin classes, etc. Happy to take any and all changes you'd suggest (with justification!). sphinx-doc/sphinx#13744 is the start of the series.
