Tailwind defaults
Tailwind includes a blue palette and a blueGray palette below. While both looks good, it was not exactly what I wanted. I needed something more subtl than the blue and something more blue than the bluegray. So I combined them.
I used Affinity Photo (any image editor should work). Then I copy the blue color palette into a new layer and set the opacity to 50%. Then I move it on top of another palette.
Blue
Bluegray
Result
It looks great!
Other interesting results
Just for fun I tried to move the blue palette over the other ones.
Blue + Emerald
It looks almost like a gradient when using blue on top of emerald. Like an ocean palette.
Blue + Yellow
While I think blue + emerald works beautifully I think the combination of blue and yellow looks really ugly. Maybe it's just me.
Food for thought
It's possible to take this a big step forward and with code combine all the palettes with eachother. It would probably generate hundreds of them with very interesting results.
