SVG checkerboard only shows on hover

Bug description

I just realized the checkboard in the asset browsers only shows on hover. This seems very counter intuitive to me. The checkboard is intended to indicate transparency, so I'd always let it do exactly that. Not showing the checkboard serves no real life purpose imo, other than a design preference.

I noticed on mobile you have to touch an image to see the checkerboard, which I suspect is probably less easy to discover.

I suspect this is just an oversight. The transparency checkerboard was modified recently so the behavior for pngs is probably the intended way and we need to update the svg one to match.

Ah yeah. Probably needs the same treatment then. Checkerboard by default. And a toggle that disables that.
