better UX for slow p2p payment settling

When a payment is slow to settle, the receiver's external wallet will notify them they've received the payment long before SN notifies them they were zapped. For folks that watch their external wallet very carefully this can unnerving and make them feel like SN has a bug.

Does that mean wallets show that a payment was received before they actually release the preimage so we can settle our incoming invoice? I am not sure what we can do about this if that's the case.

edit: Oh, you mean if we are slow to settle the incoming invoice.

It could be either side that's slow to settle. The problem remains the same though. My wallet shows I was paid but SN hasn't shown it yet.
