Spring's WebSocket support (and other vendor-specific support spots) are compatible with WebSphere's Liberty profile as of 4.2.1 already. WebSphere Classic just got updated to EE 7 as well for a first beta; let's aim for full compatibility in the Spring Framework 4.3 timeframe.

There are no further betas planned beyond the February release, so GA is likely to happen by July. Let's test against it once available.

WAS traditional v9 is out now:

So let's do our testing for 4.3.1 already, in particular our WebSocket support...

I managed to confirm on WebSphere 9 using spring-websocket-test.
