What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Load http://www.openoffice.org/stats/downloads.html which uses smile-widgets
2. See on the Y axis the numbers cannot be deciphered at first glance if it's
6000000 (6 million) or 60000000 (60 million)
3. Thousands and tens of thousands separators should be available as an option
for those who prefer to display "6,000" and "6,000,000" instead of 6000 and
6000000

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected output: 60,000,000
Wht I see: 60000000

What version of the product are you using? On what browser and what
operating system?
Latest smile-widgets, browser: Firefox 24.0.1

Please provide any additional information below.
