In CID it is impossible to generate ions lower that around 0.3 of targeted ms. E.g. if CID mz is 700, then it is impossible to record ions below around 200. LUMOS method editor suggests the change if a user specifies mz range lower that optimal for CID and more critically the instrument itself will run, but will demonstrate unpredictable injection time behavior (and not only in CID)!
hence in CID and only in CID mz range should always start with 0.29 * target mz. At the same time ETciD should not be affected
